Rebellious Trail Start on the The Trek and The AT
We are getting out gear together and figuring how to post on The Trek. Planning a start date of March 28.
There are many reasons we are going, but mostly we have been talking about going for 20 years so it is time to put the dream into action. We are empty nesters with one adult child in the military and one finishing college.
We own a small sustainable farm (Rebellious Sustainable Farm) that we have placed on hold for this adventure. We are medical professionals — a nurse practitioner and a nurse assistant — also on hold for this adventure.
We are post bariatric surgery and have each lost more than we currently weigh, so we feel like we have our life back and it is time to go live it! As much as this is a physical journey, it is also a spiritual journey. The trail will be a time to reconnect with each other and with God, and a time to remember how to show the love of Jesus to those we will interact with on the trail.
