2022 Thru-Hikers: The Trek Blogger & Vlogger Applications are Now Open!

Are you thru-hiking in 2022 and want your journey featured through The Trek?  Today’s your lucky day!

We are now accepting applications for next year’s Blogging and Vlogging class.  Whether you’re hiking the length of the country on the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, or Continental Divide Trail or are tackling a “shorter” trek such as the Colorado Trail, John Muir Trail, Arizona Trail, Long Trail, Superior Hiking Trail, Ice Age Trail, Wonderland Trail, Ozark Trail, Ouachita Trail, Pinhoti Trail, Cumberland Trail, Mountains-to-Sea Trail, Benton MacKaye Trail, Buckeye Trail, Northville Placid Trail, Oregon Desert Trail, Idaho Centennial Trail, Oregon Coast Trail, California Coastal Trail, or beyond, we want to shine a spotlight on your journey!  International trekkers are welcome and encouraged to apply as well!

Our Bloggers and Vloggers are able to share their journeys with a large, passionate community of trekkers without the hassle of having to learn how to set up a website.  Additionally, Trek Contributors are first in line for features through our large Instagram accounts on @appalachian.trail, @pacificcrest.trail, and @thetrek.co.  The Trek’s most active contributors are given an even brighter spotlight with the opportunity for Instagram Takeovers.  In case that wasn’t enough our crew gets an exclusive DEEP discount at The Trek’s store.

Additional Trek Blogger Benefits include:

  • Access dashboard detailing the number of views to each post
  • Access to a Secret Trek-Only Group on Facebook
  • RSS email notifications for your friends and family to get post notifications directly to their inbox
  • A detailed guide outlining how to use The Trek’s backend website

I’m ready for March 25 my start from Campo, the cumination of a dream. I’m ready to make it to Canada and have a blast along the way, helping as many people that I can. I’m already dreaming of it, I can’t wait.

Kind of sucks you don’t have one picture of an older person on your website opening page.

That’s kind of why I don’t follow The Trek too closely.

Every single one of you guys will defiantly be old one day and will see how it feels when younger society starts to ignore or discount you as a viable person.

My wish is that you at last put one photo of someone, male or female, over the age of 60………….or 50 for that matter. I would LOVE some feedback.
