600 Miles in Review

I have 635 Miles in the books now and I’m still living the dream out here! I’m a little short on time and having technical difficulties, here’s a little look at what the first 600 miles of the trail looks like in pictures.
1-99 miles

My first white blaze! and a can of Levante Brewing’s Infinite Loop to celebrate.

100-199 Miles

The trails and tribulations of resupply day. Finally got it down to a science!

The view from inside a shelter on a rainy evening.

I learned the hard way that bathtub laundry is a big fat no!

The beginnings of my tramily entering the Smokies.

Levante’s care package came right after the first huge rainstorm. Instant mood booster!

200-299 Miles

Zeroing in a shelter to wait out a snow storm in the Smokies.

20 hikers staying in a 12 man shelter. We were warm at least!

DQ, Funky Moon and I at Charlie’s Bunion.

Privy poetry ???

300-399 Miles

Setting up camp for the night.

DQ and Funky Moon in the spruce forest.

Epic trail magic.

The sky cleared for about 30 seconds in the Roan Highlands.

400499 miles

We have reached hiker trash status.

Best campsite on the trail so far!

The last climb after a long day – but made it just in time for the sunset ?

Met & pet all the ponies in the Greyson Highlands.

Funky Moon is the pony whisperer.

600-635 Miles

Woods Hole Hostel

After 635 miles, I am thankful for every day for my time out here on the trail. I have met some of the most kind and genuine people who all share a common goal with me. I am ready and excited to see what the rest of the trail has in store for me!
