A Fill-In-The-Blank Blogger Cover Letter

To whom it may concern,

I am highly interested in the position of talking about myself.  I am a semi-recent graduate with mad studying skills and little 9-5 experience I am wildly passionate about the outdoors and have sought generally underpaid positions in the recreation industry that have allowed me to set foot on a good number of U.S. states.  Past employment includes corralling children in winter conditions, stirring human feces, carrying barbed wire for long distances, and digging very beautiful trenchesAs a blogger for The Trek, I hope to share my enthusiasm for the open air, the outdoor knowledge I gather along the way, and post unsolicited, non-sequitous impressions on the regular.

I have experience writing and walking, but not interrelated to this extent.  I minored in creative writing at college while running crosse country at the Division III level, but the orientation of those activities were towards the group/grade.  I hiked the LT in 2016 and the AT in 2019, but my journaling then was half-hearted at best.  This project, I hope, will be different.  Since this isn’t my first rodeo, I’m excited to relate the odd incidents and cooky characters without being overwhelmed by the everyday.

Please see my resume for additional information about my professional and academic endeavors.  I hope you will follow my mission to live out my artistic whims online & create digital dog-ears in the book of memory.

Hike my hike & Leave My Trace,

Fancy Feast
