76 days and counting!!

First and foremost I want to thank Zach for letting me be part of this great site, I also want to thank all the other members here, every time I log on I learn something new and get great tips for my upcoming hike. Dying for March 9 to get here to start my adventure of thru hiking the AT, It seems I am getting more anxious and nervous as the day approaches for me to start my hike but at the same time I can’t seem to wish I would start tomorrow.

Hi folks, my name is Rando most people call me Randy, I have given myself the trail name Gadget.   I am 52 years young and I will be thru hiking the AT starting on March 9, 2015 spending the next 4 to 7 months hiking through 2,200 miles of mountainous woods from Georgia to Maine is a dream I have thought about doing since I was 18. Now at the age of 52 I will be realizing it and leaving the dream to the side, It will be a true test for me since I suffer from seizures due to the fact I am Epileptic, but now at least I sense when I am about to have one.  Hope you will follow me on my Journey and adventure of a lifetime. I am also raising funds for the Epilepsy Foundation on my own accord for them since they have helped me so much through out the years, you can find the page here: https://www.gofundme.com/randodiaz
