Appreciating the big and the small (Day 132)
The actual peak of Mount Killington is still 0.2 miles up a very steep rock scramble blue blaze. It’s been worth it so much. The view here is beautiful, one of the prettiest so far. It’s a great start of the day
It’s not only the big views we still enjoy, but also the “small nature”. Like this little stream. We’re hiking through nature all day every day, but nature is still beautiful, even after this many miles.
Goodbye Long Trail
The AT and the Long Trail have shared the same trail since we have entered Vermont, but at the Maine Junction the two split up. We’re taking a hard right, going more east-bound than north. This point is also the start of the North Country National Scenic Trail. I have never heard of this one before, but there are a lot of cool trails in the USA.
Some more beautiful bodies of water
