AT Conversation Responses pt:1

Working as a bartender I get to talk to hundreds of people a week, and for the most part is quite enjoyable. Now that I’ve made plans to hike the Appalachian Trail it has become a common topic of conversation between regular patrons and myself. It has also become quite the head scratcher for people that ask what I do or “what’s new”. Though, the more it is talked about the more great responses I’ve gotten about my upcoming adventure.

Responses:

“Have you seenĀ Deliverance?”

“Can you bring a gun, like a .22?”

“Aren’t you scared?”

“Oh cool, I know someone that did that!”

“How are you going to eat”

“You’re going alone?”

“Don’t you know people have been murdered on the Appalachian Trail?”

“Have you seenĀ A Walk in the Woods? I love Robert Redford!”

It certainly has been fun telling people of my up coming adventure and the responses are the best part. It’s fun to see how interested some people are and certainly funny to hear how skeptical others are. I’ll keep track of some other fun and interesting responses!

Happy Trails!
