Backpacker Radio 85 | Neville Harris of Woods Hole Hostel

In today’s episode of Backpacker Radio presented by The Trek, brought to you by Backcountry.com, we are joined by Neville Harris.  Neville is the owner and head honcho at Woods Hole Hostel, commonly regarded as one of the top hostels (if not the top hostel) along the entire Appalachian Trail.  I think the reasoning for this will be readily apparent during our conversation with Neville, as her radiant personality shines through during our chat.  Neville shares a bit about her meditation practice and the impact it’s had on her life, she walks us through a typical day at Woods Hole Hostel, how COVID has impacted her business, how running the hostel played a role in her recent divorce, and much more.  Whether you’ve stayed at Woods Hole or not, we think you’re really going to enjoy this chat.

We also debate where to teleport 10 tons of jello to maximize destruction, do a triple crown of appetizers, and have a one minute gear review.

I wish the interviewers on this podcast would prepare more and learn to edit. The female interviewer suggested that Neville could milk her bull (!!??), the questions about canning were ridiculous (Google “how to can”); and the entire episide needed editing, including when Neville’s phone died. Overall: great guests but the production values are terrible and the interviewers come across as clueless and unprepared.
