Congratulations to These 2024 Appalachian Trail Thru-Hikers: Part 1

Thousand of hopefuls set out each year to embark on the Appalachian Trail, but only a select few complete the journey. This year’s class of thru-hikers has spent months navigating dense forests, rocky climbs, and endless ridgelines, all in pursuit of one goal: reaching the northern terminus at Katahdin. Through sun and storm, triumph and challenge, tramily and solo endeavors, these hikers have experienced the vast beauty of the AT firsthand.

Every step on this 2,190-mile trek is earned, from waking up to frost-covered tents to pushing through miles in a downpour. They’ve watched the landscape shift from the southern Appalachians’ rolling hills to the rugged peaks of New England, overcoming obstacles that test both body and mind.

Now, we celebrate their immense success. Each finisher brings with them a unique story of perseverance, resilience, and weird food cravings. Join us in applauding the 2024 class of AT thru-hikers who have made it to the end of their epic journey!

Have you recently completed your thru-hike on the AT? Let us know to be featured in our next Finishers post. You deserve to be celebrated!
