Day 3: Neel Gap to Low Gap – 11 miles

We decided today was going to be a light day.  The previous two 16s hurt a good bit.

Didn’t sleep great, but we’ll enough.  Some hiker came strolling by my tent at 4:45 this morning.  Missed my alarms and Tom let me sleep in until 7am.  Got a quick start on the day and hit the trail at 7:45.

The first goal of the morning was water.  We reached this next camp site up, but found out that their water source was a near stagnant puddle, we kept moving.

We caught up to the Maryland girl, Ren at the camp site.  Her trail name is Skittles – he’s hair is ranbow dyed.

We kept pushing along.  The day was just about moving forward.  No significant mountains, just some pain in the ads hills.

We made it to camp by 2:15. Through the course of the day others filtered in.  It filled up pretty well, but nothing like Gooch.

Goal for, tomorrow is a psycho 15.4 miles.  Massive mountain climbs – a 1000 footer and a 1300 footer.
