Day 85 – A New Hike For Me

Day 85

~ Zero Day ~

Miles on AT: 845.4

Today was a welcome zero day. It was nice to have a day where neither of us felt pressured to work and we could just relax. I was able to get caught up on my entries, so I did sneak a little bit of productivity in there.

Since Janitor will no longer be hiking the trail full-time, we came up with a plan moving forward. He will support me from town for a while until he’s ready to go back home. He won’t stay with me until the end, but I’ll be happy to have him while I can.

Tomorrow I will do a 20 mile slackpack and then enter Shenandoah the day after that!

And that’s day 85.

Jen. If I am folliwing you correctly, you are in the 3 Ridges Wilderness. Take 2 extra Snickers bars. Wonderful place, look in on Humpback Rocks, beware of the downhill switchbacks leading to Wolf shelter. Enjoy Stanimals 328 should you stop there. Continued best of trail luck to you.
