Friends…making trail magic
5 June 2017
I can truly say the trail experience has blessed me beyond my imagination.
I never imagined friends going out of their way to come see me. It has restored my soul like nothing I could have dreamed about.
Friends who I haven’t seen in…25+ years taking a drive from an hour away to just show up! I am blown away.
I mean who would jump in a car, drive an hour through the curvy mountain roads on slippery wet roads to come see some stinky hiker? FRIENDS — Real Friends!
Even after talking on the phone yesterday, we talked on and on tonight. It was so great to catchup on our lives, the kiddos and grandkids. It was just like we had been without any separation of time. The only thing that had changed was our age…we’ve gotten a little older.
Thank you Tony and Brenda Powers for making the drive over. Your visit enriched me more than words can say. The Air Force brought us together years ago, but your friendship has been everlasting.
So…I’ve learned a valuable lesson. Friends can be separated by time and/or distance, but friendship is separated by neither. Friendship spans it ALL.
THANK YOU Tony and Brenda — Friendship that will last a lifetime!
