30 sleeps to A.T.!
I figured there was no sense starting this blogging business too early – no one wants to hear about agonizing decisions over stuff sacks. But, I’ve come out the other side of a REI meltdown to be as ready as I’ll ever be. Sometimes one just has to sit on the floor at REI for an hour or so while staring vacantly into an isle of bags to make the life changing decision that is purchasing glorified garbage bags.
Thankfully, in my daily life I need only worry about such low pressure endeavors as operating high voltage machinery, taking kids to a nuclear reactor, and balancing atop a 13 foot contraption in the name of science education at the Museum of Science, Boston.
I have now departed pretty significantly from the “hi, my name is ___” format which was recommended to me as an initial post…
Hi, my name is Ashley Mae and I am a 2014 Appalachian Trail thru-hiker.
