Hot Springs – Meeting Friends along the AT
25 May 2017
AT – 273.4 miles
Today – 17.9 miles
Time – 7 hrs
Speed – 2.55 mph
Today, I rolled into Hot Springs. It was great for a few reasons. First, it was mostly downhill. Not a steep downhill, but a gradual downhill…the kind I like. But more importantly….I got to meet up with old friends who were my Trail Angels.
They drove out of their way, made me dinner, took me for a resupply run at Wally World, cleaned me up and gave a big soft bed for the night. This is my kond of town visit!
Right now, I’m feeling loved.
Who are these trail angels — Bob & Toni Williams.
A BIG Thank You goes out to this wonderful family.
I’m up late and a little tired…so I’m off to sleep.
