It’s Go Time
In exactly 7 days I start my hike. It will unfortunately not be the thru-hike that I wanted, but any time on trail is time well spent. And, as the picture that approximately a hundred people have shared on my Facebook wall says, “The worse day in the mountains is still better than the best day in the office”.

So rather than start at Springer and redo a large section that I’ve already done, I’m going to be getting on trail at the NOC where my hiking buddy, Traps, and I left off in August. I get about a month and a half on trail. Definitely enough time to make it to Damascus. I think…
It may be may be kind of bittersweet knowing that in 7 days I should be starting my thru hike, but I’m still happy for any time on trail.
At this point I’ll take what I can get.
