Quick update!

Hey y’all! It’s been a while! I wanted to provide a super quick update before I try to get back on track with blogging. I’m going to try weekly updates, and hope to fill you in about the past few weeks in future posts. For now, just a few highlights:

– I got my trail name! On trail, I’m Fresh Prince.
– I found a tramily (trail family)! I’ve been hiking with the same folks for over 70 miles.
– I’ve hiked over 250 trail miles!

Blogging on trail is hard. I’d say that the most difficult part is finding good cell service/wifi and waiting for photos to upload which takes FOREVER. Photos really convey the experience better, so I want to try to include them. But if I posted a wall of text, would you stay tuned in? Let me know! And thanks for following along!!

Of course, keep writing and sharing your experiences, I already missed them. I am reading you from the beginning since one day I hope to be able to do it and I had not thought about the flip flop option so I am very excited about your story. I wish you the best on the road. From puerto rico.

So good to hear you are well, safe and it looks like you’re having fun. Photos are great but I love the text, conveys more from the soul.
    Best of luck!

    Alriiight!

The algorithm sent me here and I liked what I read! I was getting anxious after 2 weeks of not updates.

Personally, I’m fine with weekly updates and walls of text.

There are probably other ways to mitigate the bandwidth issue. Weekly uploads of the daily (or every other day or whatever updates) when your get into a town, etc.

I’ve read many a blog/vlog of AT thru-hikers. What’s your doing from a technical perspective has been done thousands of times. Maybe try and see how others on the trail are doing it? Heck, maybe even try and ask thetrek.co if they have have tips.

    Love your blog!
