Rain Rain Go Away

Another Zero in Nebraska visiting the kiddos.
When on the trail, severe weather has new meaning. So far, I’ve not experienced it…happy days.
However, I’m currently in Nebraska and tonight we experienced some wicked weather.
Every few minutes, the EAS kept breaking into the TV adding new areas, closer areas, to the Thunderstorm and Tornado Warnings. Soon enough, it was going to be right on top of us.
In preparation, myDaughter began preparing for the weather in the freezer room. She made a pallet…like any of us were going to go to sleep…but just in case it became an all night affair we’d be comfortable.
Soon enough, the tornado sirens went off and we headed to our safe place. I even went and got the baby mattress, just to be sure. Here we are sheltering in place in the hallway. Even Stella (the dog) got her bed brought in to “be comfortable”!
After a few hours, we finally got the All Clear and headed back to our beds. However, since the electricity is out, it’s kind of muggy and hot…so no real rest is taking place.
The baby enjoyed the late night events in the dark. She jumped around to be held by everyone.
This is 🐝 lovin’ her baby in the storm while she checked on the dog and her Momma.
I hope we get to sleep soon or tomorrow will be a long day…naps may be on the agenda.
