Ready for Launch
Well here we go! Ben here from Cincinnati, Ohio! I recently graduated college and have some time before I start that “post-college job”. The stars have seemingly aligned to allow me the opportunity to hide in the woods until further notice.
This past week I finished my last few days at work, moved out of my apartment, and enjoyed Easter in my hometown. My girlfriend dropped me at the airport and I landed in Atlanta yesterday afternoon. After catching up with an old friend from college, I will be on the Approach Trail at Amicalola tomorrow morning.
Beyond the slight nerves of my impending departure, I am mostly ready to have fun and make the AT my new job. Long distance hiking is fun but it is a lot of work! Tomorrow I will be on top of Springer Mountain. The next day I will wake up, hike, eat, sleep, and do it all over again. Stay tuned and find out how far I make it.
