Renewing our Why (Day 131)
The day started as any other, with a steep climb. After two zero days, we were tested right out of the gate.
500 to go!
We only have 500 more miles to go! The energy in the group was a bit low, but luckily Small Bites’ cheered us all up, reminding us to celebrate all the milestones. The nice thing about hiking in a group, is that there’s always someone in a good mood, lifting the spirits of the others.
Renewing our why’s
The rest of the day was spent hiking and talking. We also talked about “renewing our why’s”. We all started the trail for different reasons, but those reasons can change. For me a big reason to do this trail was to prove my mental strength. But that’s not the reason I’m here anymore. I know I can push through when I need to. I don’t have a very specific “why” to be out here now, but I just know I’m still here and am supposed to be here.
We stayed in the shelter on top of Mount Killington. We weren’t the only ones, because there’s a group of college students in here too for their introduction week. They were very cool though and had a lot of fun.

Hungry
I saw where Thrombone finished the At.
Hungry
I am not concerned about goals we set but whether you reach the goals you do. I have enjoyed all the posts you have made from the beginning. Remember about COWBOY CAMPING because Dragon or Trombone was snoring.
