Taking a new Trail Name a little too far!
Mountain Goat has taken his new name SERIOUSLY!!
As soon as Rose set her eyes on Mountain Goat, she knew it was love at first sight…….but she wouldn’t take NO for an answer and convinced Mountain Goat to come closer.
Rose played hard to get at first, but Mountain Goat persevered.
Mountain Goat changed strategy and with chocolate and strawberries, had Rose eating out of the palm of his hand!
He had to convince Rose that Mountain Goat was simply an A.T. Trail name and that he was really a human with a wonderful, loving wife Mary at home.
Rose finally believed him, but wanted a goodbye kiss to remember him by. “BAHHHHHD” she said after the smooch and let Mountain Goat go…….

I’ve been anxiously awaiting this post and I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out. Tears coming out of my eyes. This new love affair is just too much!
Oh, this is too funny. First a dog, now a Mountain Goat. What”s next? I have some pretty tough competition! She’s adorable!
Wife Mary
Nothing to worry about, wife Mary!! Mountain Goat says it was a meaningless fling that meant nothing to him…..HONEST;). His human DNA has taken back over and he’s back to normal (sorry about that;))
Oh my goodness – is this what I’m letting my hubby get into next spring (2017)…. Duke – you talked w/him at REI several weeks ago and he told you about hiking Harpers Ferry south first… I’m so excited for him to take on the challenge…
Cindy, not to worry…..Rose was a one Mountain Goat, Mountain Goat;). Your Hubby will be fine! Thanks for following along.
Hysterical, I Cant wait to see what you come up with next. You are well in the lead of the several thru hikers I am following. There were a couple ahead of you that started in January and early February but I haven’t seen any post’s from them in several week so they may have dropped out. Keep on hiking and entertaining the masses.
Coach RV,
From a former coach go a present coach, thank you! Thanks for following along and taking time to reach out with a comment! I truly appreciate everyone taking the time to follow along! Tomorrow I’ll be posting about TRAIL MAGIC!
