The Great Escape II

Last year the country shut down for Covid two days before my planned departure for Atlanta. I thought I would have to wait until 2022, but for once being old is an advantage! With both Moderna shots safely onboard, I am poised to depart.  Camped in my backyard I found a few gear issues that I am glad happened there and not on a mountain. Turns out my Nemo Hornet One had major condensation issues, and my toes could not stay warm enough in my sleeping bag for actual sleep. I have a new Tarptent Stratosphere Li now. Going to use some old wool socks for foot insulation and I think I am ready to go. We will soon see how well prepared I am. Next message from somewhere on the Appalachian Trail.
See you in the woods!
