The Vlog – Vermont
Vermont, you made me enjoy the Trail again.
As much as I loved stopping at delis for hot food and beer, I had begun to miss the wilderness.
As much as I complained about crappy terrain and pointless ups and downs, I had begun to miss real mountains.
As cynical and frustrated as I had become, someone actually had my lazy butt out of my warm hammock to watch the sunrise again.
Naturally, this second honeymoon would come to an end, because I’m a lazy, cantankerous bastard, but Vermont was wonderful, mud or no mud. Also, the beer scene up there was awesome.
