Trail Update #14: New Hampshire and Maine are beautiful and kinda crazy

Hi peeps!

I started this post over a month ago, and never finished it for reasons that Slim Shady’s explained here much better than I ever could. His post about not posting inspired me to at least let you all know that I’M DONE! I’M FINISHED! I’M SO HAPPY TO BE HOME! and tell you that I’ll be back in the blogging game soon.

For now, I’ll include the sorely limited 14th update I drafted back in August. Apologies in advance to anyone who’ll be offended by me lovingly disparaging New England.

Mass: just lovely

Vermont: fun and full of generous people

New Hampshire and Maine are trying to kill me. This section of the trail is not for the weak willed or anyone afraid of heights. I’ve cried, like, a lot. There is no ‘trail’ here. No dirt, just rock up that goes straight up and straight down, sometimes with iron rebar or steps built in, if you’re lucky.

Welp, at least it’s pretty.

SNAPCHAT! I followed you in the shelter logs for a long time! Congrats on finishing. I was near OMG when she was in Baxter(pretty sure she is in one of your pics above). Great pics above, some of the climbs were definitely sketchy at best! -Two Speed
