Ironic if they were arrested on 4/20 at 4:20.
Marijuana… Really!? That’s all they had and the cops consider this a big drug bust or something! What an embarrassment. It should be legal by now FFS and it’s a natural herb. Get over it and go arrest some real criminals! This isn’t even newsworthy, unless you want to help these people get the preposterous charges dropped. ?
It’s not all they had, and they had warrants for other non drug related crimes…
Unfortunately on the East Coast LSD and mushrooms are felony possession charges. They may have gotten off easier in Virginia selling the marijuana. I sure wish I had been hiking thru. I would of scooped up some magic for myself!,??
Completely agree. It’s THC, not crack, meth, fentanyl.. Go bother the real dealer’s..
You know how I know you didn’t read the article? Guess.
Lmfao don’t worry hikers , I will be starting here soon from katadin. And will have plenty of weed to go around and as many vape cartridges as I can carry lol and all equipment to use it . As I have about 10 ilbs left from last year. It doesn’t weigh much , good thing. My fiance for 25 years said she doesn’t love me anymore and wants me to leave. So that’s what I’m going to do. I’ll hike until I see a nice spot in between mountain ranges that has some ponds and that’s where my new life will begin and end . Always loved the grizzly Adam’s tv show as a kid. Now I’m going to live it. Can’t wait .
Dang, did you even read the article? Sure does not seem like it . “police located the van in question and, using a K9 unit, located 5.56 lbs of marijuana, 8.78 oz of psilocybin (mushrooms), 8 dosage units of LSD, and 10 grams of THC wax resin” And warrants. Jeez
It’s a good thing our boys in blue acted so swiftly! I don’t even want to imagine what would’ve unfolded if the Devil’s Lettuce was introduced to the Appalachian Trail thru-hiking community!
That’s hilarious, but it’s also a shame. Law enforcement is wasting their time and taxpayers dollars for this BS.
Says the user lol, just because you think drugs should be legal doesn’t mean they are and you forgot to mention the fact they had other narcotics , nice try
Shrooms? Another plant that grows from the ground.. Please..
I guess that sort of hazard doesn’t usually show up of pre-hike checklists. Makes one think, but shouldn’t be cause to cancel your hike, just be cautious. Thanks for posting Kelly
Damn, sorry to see them go. Could’ve been handy on my thruhike next year. Never heard of any of these things
Drugs! On a hiking trail??? Whats next? Wheels on a car? Craziness!
All jokes aside though it kinda sounds like these guys could be no good for other reasons. You never know the exact context but larceny with a firearm and b&e aren’t exactly victimless crimes.
Sounds like a top competitor just removed themselves from a high demand market. Get at me in appalachia.!!
Whatcha sellin’? Deez nuts?!? Lol ?
Damn! I was planning on meeting Bobbie Anne and “Fast Eddie” on my flip-flop hike in Harpers Ferry. How else am I supposed to hike 2,198.4 miles for no reason? These people were doing “God’s Work” and I’ll leave it at that.
I know both of them. The guy beat her up all the time. He is a bad dude. The girl was seriously manipulated by him and she is harmless.
Where are the narcotics? I expect sensationalist journalism from the agenda focused big dogs (and that’s all of them, right/left/in between; hah, there’s no in between), but the Trek?
