It’s summer on the Appalachian Trail and Instagram abounds with thru-hikers blessing our feeds with the good stuff. Welcome back to our weekly roundup of the most spectacularly beautiful, hilariously entertaining, and all-around best photos taken on the Appalachian Trail this past week.

Day 103|22.Jun.2019|Belters Campsite » Lake George, NY|Total Miles: 10.4 mi|Mile Marker: 1501.8 mi|Our hike down to breakfast was gorgeous. We were treated to an awesome sunrise and the scenery was perfect. We made it to Mountainside Café right as they opened and this little farm to table joint was delicious and adorable – it fueled us up for our 9 mile hike in to Salisbury. Mom was feeling strong and ready to finish her section (her feet were definitely ready!) We walked along the Housatonic for awhile, which made for some easy walking. A bird dropped a load on my hat – very uncool! We stopped to check out Great Falls, but didn’t jump in since it was still early in the day and pretty cool out. After we climbed up Mt. Prospect, it was smooth sailing from there and we crossed the 1500 mile marker, which marked over 50 miles for Mom! My Dad picked us up a few miles from there and said it was only 2 hours to Lake George. He was up for the drive and rather than spending the rest of the day in a hotel, we went to Uncle Jerry and Aunt Diane’s cabin and relaxed! Kerri was there too and we hung out on the boat and then went cruising out on the lake before dinner. Definitely a great Nero! My Dad just finished a piece of wood art for their cabin and it was amazing to see his masterpiece in person! We celebrated Aunt Diane’s birthday a few days early and you can’t beat cake by the lake! • • #appalachiantrail #NOBO2019 #ATclassof2019 #AT2019 #trektheAT #thetrek #hiketheAT #hikertrash #appalachianhikers #adventuresofaxolotl #GeorgiatoMaine #GAME #withguthook #theatguide #ConnecticutAT #letsrollbutthole

Day 90?1665.7/2192, VT ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀. Nearly 100 years ago, Benton MacKaye stood atop of this mountain and envisioned a footpath encompassing the crest of Appalachia. He would later propose the official creation of this Appalachian Trail. ⛰ It would be decades later for an individual to complete a thru hike of the Appalachian Trail. Almost a century later, here I am attempting my thru hike. Here I am, witnessing the same view that inspired the creation of the Appalachian Trail. I feel honored to be here, in this moment! ? The pic of me pretending to hike into the distance is from the summit of Bromley Mountain, had to go up a ski slope to get there! Hope y’all enjoy the photos from today, ‘‘twas a fun one! ☺️ 6/17/2019) ?♥️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ . . . . . . #TrekTheAT #TheTrek #HikeTheAT #AppalachianTrail #AT2019 #ATClassOf2019 #hiking #thruhiking #thruhike #goatworthy #optoutside #rei #AdventureOn #granitegear #TheGroundsKeepers #ForceofNature #TrekkingToes #rei1440project #LeaveNoTrace #LNT #leaveitbetter #backpacking

Im trying to find a sole female that was in Port Clinton on Wed 6/26. She ran into a friend of mine & her 2 12 year old daughters there. They didn’t get her name, but would like to follow the rest of her journey via blog/vlog. If you could help in any way that would be awesome.

    Thank You
