The Winter is Over- I’m Hitting the Trail!

It’s finally happened.

I spent the whole winter eating, working, shopping, packing, budgeting, worrying, training… but it’s all finally over and at long last I’m hitting the trail again. To really drive that point home, today was the first day I saw a tree in bloom. It was all pink, and covered in tiny buds: the first sign that spring really is going to come.

Myself, on the last day of my November hike.

Anyway, traditionally this time of the year is about when I start itching to get out and hike the AT. That’s been the case since I was about nine or ten.

But this year… this year I get to go. And I’m really excited.

The day you’re reading this is going to be about a week after I actually set out, just so I can be a little private about my location at any given time. But here on out I’ll be posting weekly updates about my hike, so look for my next post sometime next weekend!

If you want to know (in a bit more detail) how I spent the winter I humbly recommend my personal blog. And if you want to see how the first 300 miles of my hike went, and who the heck I am exactly, my author page is a great place to start.

I look forward to sharing this exciting part of my life with you guys.

Everyone take care,

Old Soul
