My name is Allie Donaldson, I’m a queer poet who loves long distance backpacking! I started hiking the Pacific Crest trail in 2019 for my first ever backpacking trip longer than an overnight. After 1100 miles and several books filled with poetry and writings, I am now putting together a book of my poetry which sould be available in 2021! I was so inspired my first go around, but I was so focused on personal goals that I didn’t take care of the trail nearly as well as it had taken care of me. This is a new decade and I want to start it by changing the typical hiker conversations from personal, self-servering goals, to personal goals that include the trails they claim to love so much. Join me in picking up trash for the beautiful natural world we call home!
