I’m Susanne, aka Blue Moon. I’ve always loved a good walk in the woods, but I only started backpacking a few years ago, with thru-hikes of the AT in ‘23 (summiting Mt. Katahdin was a kick-ass way to spend my 60th birthday!) and the CDT in ‘25. This year I’ll be feeding the obsession by taking on the PCT. I’m a fan of trail snacks, early mornings, and the kind of days that end with tired legs and a great view. I’ll be sharing an honest look at long-distance hiking-the highs, the challenges, and why it’s never too late to go.
