Hi. I’m Carla, a 54 year old empty-nester who loves to saunter in the woods. I love gnomes, mushrooms, pizza, mushroom pizza, and my family...not in that order! I plan to walk from Georgia to Maine in 2022, even though I have a few odds stacked against me, i.e., fear of heights and bears, an amazing ability to trip on things both seen and unseen, and the fact that I have never been separated from my family for any length of time. So follow along as I prepare for and eventually start this journey of a lifetime...proving to myself that I can be the things and do the things that I've always thought I couldn't.
