Chris Taylor

My name is Chris (he/they) I am 18-going-on-19 year old from rural western Michigan. I will be telling the story of my jouney on the Appalachian Trail through the artistic use of language. I am an artist, and my words are my paintbrush. I am an avid music fan and vinyl record collector (my favorite artists are Taylor Swift and Phoebe Bridgers). If you meet me on trail and an instrument is nearby, expect me to be playing 22 (Taylor's Version) on repeat. I am a complete beginner backpacker, so I will not be writing much in the realm of gear reviews or hiking advice. However I have loved hiking and have been an avide day hiker my entire life. Besides my love of hiking, I love running! During my high school career I was a track and cross country runners with numerous 5Ks and two half marathons under my belt. My writing exists for people to draw their conclusions and ideas from, so many of my entries will be opened-ended and vauge on purpose. I'm a figurative thinker and writer, so you may come up with radically different ways of interpreting my writing. That's the fun part! It's going to be a collaboritve project! I'm excited to see what we can create together on my journey. I am here to prove that "not all those who wander are lost." I am homeward bound. I am HOBO.
