I'm Collin, and this June I launched my great SOBO AT adventure! I caught the bug as they say, several years ago, and I just can't seem to shake it. So here I am, searching for a cure amongst nearly 2,200 miles of wilderness, and I fear I may find just the opposite!
I grew up on a hobby farm in West Michigan, and as a young boy I learned to love the outdoors through organizations like 4H, Cadets, and Boy Scouts. Now, I spend my free time on trips with friends and family - camping, backpacking, fishing, or whatever other outdoor activities we can get ourselves into. I’ve hiked just about everywhere there is to hike in the Mitten State, and I’m so stoked for this opportunity to branch out onto new trails! What can I say? I am an IT guy from 8-5, but an outdoorsman 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. At any rate, to quote John Muir, “The Mountains are calling, and I must go.”
