I am homegrown here in Georgia! I spent the first 18 years of my life living in the same house on a gravel road in the country about an hour south of Atlanta. I regretfully did not learn to appreciate it until I got into the big city! Now I long for property surrounded by cattle farms, open meadows, and beautiful landscapes. I was raised playing outside and I've luckily found a way to continue that as an adult! Hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, or anything else that will get me active outdoors is what I am looking for. I believe that I am a long distance hiker at heart and after finishing my first thru-hike on the Benton MacKaye Trail in June of 2014 I am ready to put myself to the true test! Appalachian Trail 2015, here I come!
