Hi! I’m Mike Page, but most of my friends call me Mike. I’m doing a Northbound (NOBO) trek of the Appalachian Trail (A.T.) this spring (early March 2019), and it will be my first long distance hike. If all goes well, and to plan (Ha Ha Ha!) on the A.T., I am planning on also doing more thru-hikes soon. I grew up in Kentucky and left shortly after High school for the Army. That career was cut short by a blast injury in Iraq, and after a ridiculous amount of recovery, I’m ready to challenge myself in new and exciting ways. I’ll be blogging about my gear (especially the mistakes I’m sure I’m making in my choices), my journey, and what I’m sure will be a LOT of “What doesn’t kill you” moments.
