Hello! My name is Robby Gay (trail name TBD) and I will be attempting to thru-hike the Pacific Crest Trail in 2021. I'm 20 years old and a college student at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth, Texas, but I grew up about an hour down the road in a not-so-small-town-anymore--Frisco, Texas. A few fun facts about me: I can solve a rubik's cube, I am an avid fantasy reader, and I take my Fantasy Football League Commissioner duties very seriously.
I'll admit, I'm a little crazy and this thing I'm doing is a little crazy. I mean, who decided that hiking the length of the United States was going to be a thing? I don't know, but I'm glad they did because it's an adventure I just can't pass up. Why? My "why" probably isn't as boiled down as other peoples' is. I have a bunch of thoughts floating around my head when this question is asked of me.
