My name is Zach "Birdog" Violett. I love to be outside and will do just about any endurance sport. I'm an long distance runner, skimo racer, cyclist and becoming more of a long distance hiker. My wife and I are now living in the French Alps and loving the ability to explore Europes trails. We are taking advantage of the Rifuge system as much as we can. JMT '20, SHR '21, WRHR'23, GR11 '25, 1/2 Nepals Great Himalyan Trail '25. 2026 should involve the Trans Caucasian Trail and hopefully the Long Trail and the AZT.
