Backpacker Radio Episode #54: The Trans-Catalina Trail
In today’s episode of Backpacker Radio, presented by The Trek, the Cinnamon Connection dives in on all things Trans-Catalina Trail (TCT), which Chaunce and I thru-hiked a month(ish) ago. We give a day-by-day rundown of the hike, including that time Chaunce hid in a bear locker when a bison stampeded through our camp, how we pirated our way onto a sailboat, and give some non-obvious tips on hiking the TCT. We also talk about the dumbest things we’ve forgotten to pack on a backpacking trip, debate the joy of Christmas music, how flashing your bunghole to the sun is good for your health, and answer some common gear questions.

The TCT is a good “Shake down” trip for any thru hiking trip, plus very scenic.
No Good Christmas Music?
You’re wrong and I’ll fight you on it.
