Madeline Newel's Bio

I'm Madeline, but my trail name is Photon. I thru-hiked the Pacific Crest Trail in 2018 and got to be a part of the inaugural group of Trail Correspondents for Backpacker Radio. I had such a great time that I kept the ball rolling and thru-hiked the Appalachian Trail in 2019. After living and working in Joshua Tree National Park and Mount Rainier National Park, and biking across Mexico, I somehow ended up in New York City.
