Broken

Yes, the MRI showed a broken heel bone due to a stress fracture. So I’m definitely on the disabled list, probably for the rest of the season. But I hiked just shy of 1300 miles! from Springer Mountain Georgia to Wind Gap, Pennsylvania.

Eva, so sorry you are injured. But what a marvelous accomplishment this hike is for you and Boomer. I’ve so enjoyed following you as you made your way up the trail. Your can-do attitude and perseverance are admirable. As a fellow physician (just retired) I’d hoped to be out there this year too but family needs came first. Hoping your heel heals 🙂 well. Pat yourself and Boomer on the back for me!

Eva, sorry to hear about your foot. I had the same thing happen a few years back but I only made it to Daleville VA. Hope you and Boomer get back to the trail later or next year
