My Colorado Trail Gear List 2018

My hike snuck up on me. I am in Denver and I will be hiking in less than nine hours. Since I am not the best at planning in advance, I finally got around to writing up a gear list yesterday. Read on to find out what I’ll be carrying.

Therm-a-Rest ZLite

Headlamp

Trekking poles

1L dry bag “purse”

Food stuffs

Talenti jar, titanium spoon, pocket knife

Bandana for food stuff

3L bag, 4L bag, 6L bag

Bear bag rope, small bag for throwing

Water

Sawyer filter/plunger/two bags, Smartwater bottles, hydration pack

Toiletries

Floss, toothbrush, toothpaste, biodegradable soap, diva cup, mini hairbrush, hairties, nail clippers, bandana for pee rag, toilet paper, trowel, hand sanitizer, snot bandana, chap stick, sunscreen, bug spray, wipes, medication

I’ve tried to keep it light and minimalist, but there are some luxury items I just can’t give up. While I ditched the stove and pants, I’ll be keeping my Kindle and camp shoes.

Now I’m all packed up and ready to hike.
