My Colorado Trail Gear List 2018
My hike snuck up on me. I am in Denver and I will be hiking in less than nine hours. Since I am not the best at planning in advance, I finally got around to writing up a gear list yesterday. Read on to find out what I’ll be carrying.
What I’m Wearing

Sawyer filter/plunger/two bags, Smartwater bottles, hydration pack
Toiletries
Floss, toothbrush, toothpaste, biodegradable soap, diva cup, mini hairbrush, hairties, nail clippers, bandana for pee rag, toilet paper, trowel, hand sanitizer, snot bandana, chap stick, sunscreen, bug spray, wipes, medication
First Aid
Tent splint, wound flush, safety pin, tweezers, Band-Aids, alcohol swabs, 2nd skin, blister treatment, triangular bandage, ibuprofen, tiger balm
Technology/other
In-Reach, iPhone, Kindle, wallet, battery, chargers, extra AAA batteries, headphones
I’ve tried to keep it light and minimalist, but there are some luxury items I just can’t give up. While I ditched the stove and pants, I’ll be keeping my Kindle and camp shoes.
Now I’m all packed up and ready to hike.
