Design Intern

Love hiking, backpacking, and the outdoors?  You’ve stumbled onto the right page.

We are looking for someone who is graphically inclined and loves the outdoors to join our team. The chosen candidate will get the opportunity to have their work showcased in front of hundreds of thousands of outdoor enthusiasts every month.

THE INTERNSHIP

We are looking for someone who possesses both an eye for top-notch design and the technical skills to execute. Definite bonus points for those who have a love for hiking.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign. We have a host of fun design projects already in queue for whoever is capable of joining our talented, young team.

The chosen candidate will receive the opportunity to have their work featured across The Trek’s platforms, including the website, their social media accounts, the newsletter, and more.

The Trek’s design internship comes with a minimum compensation of $14 / hour (or the state minimum wage of where the worker is located, whichever is higher).  We are also happy to work with your university to help get school credit for your work.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates must be able to work between 5-10 hours per week. Must have own computer, software, and Internet access. This is a remote position, unless the candidate lives near Golden, CO, in which case they have the option to work from The Trek HQ (pandemic pending).

Additionally, the ideal candidate has:

• At least 1-2 years experiences with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, or other similar quality photo editor / graphic creation software.
• A love for backpacking / hiking (not required, but a bonus).
