@lauriepotteiger helps us give another much deserved shout out to all of the amazing trail maintainers who put in so many hours of hard work to keep our trails in tip-top shape!

No matter how many times I see the name I always want to say Bald Plate. That just makes more sense, right? What the hell is a “Pate” anyway? @kayla1091 ascending Bald Pate Mountain, ME.

Don’t let its adorable demeanor fool you. This dog aims to misbehave, much to the misfortune of @jhelmuth87 and crew.

It’s the most photographed spot on the AT for a reason. @abackpackerslife shows us how it’s done on McAfee Knob, VA.

It’s not hard to make the AT look enticing, but this photo from @paulbaboon certainly helps.

Should you need a sampling of colors that evoke the feeling of well…being cold, @sammkimball has got you covered.

@stillwanderingabout hiking what, at first glance, looks to be a couple feet above the AT/LT in Vermont.

Feeling cold yet? Probably not as cold as @brocarcj on top of Round Bald.

This camp could use a fire. @buck_b_ somewhere in GA.

Tired of snowscapes yet? Not this guy! By which I mean me. @runrab and crew climbing their way up to Bradley Gap.

Do you think a little New Hampshire snow is gonna stop @fly522 from climbing mountains? Live free or die.

The highest point on the AT is lookin’ a little chilly. @amaliabutts up at Clingman’s Dome.

It’s not even winter yet people! @colinrcummings on the summit of Crocker Mountain.

Why Mount Killington, you’re looking as ominous as ever today. This stellar shot is courtesy of @smpiv‘s photographic skillz.

@roaddog79 is helping me get in the holiday spirit. It’s just so Christmasay!

Be sure to check back next week for more of that sweet, delicious #Appalachian Trail Instagram goodness!
