@bx11 celebrates a wintry view from Anthony’s Nose. It might be 0.6mi off the AT, but the view is unquestionably spectacular.

Glissading down the Appalachian Trail in New York today was awesome! The rocks, the trees, and the meandering trail made it a different experience than glissading down the open slopes of the PCT in the High Sierra, but it was still tons of fun! For those of you unfamiliar with the term ‘glissade’, it is hiker jargon for a controlled slide down a slope (typically steep and snowy) either on one’s feet or on one’s bottom. #appalachiantrail #winter #hiking #outdoors #glissade #hike #newyork #womenhike #mountains #adventure #bearmountain #AT2015
