Mountain cold

6/30

Lousy technology along Trail. Maybe it’s my phone. A good map and compass preferable anyway.

Scenery: other worldly.

Forgot how cold is the long night. I crawl from the tent, stiff. After some thawing out with boiled “cowboy coffee”, can manage to hobble, then walk……is this age? No, I see 20-somethings with the same peculiar early morning shuffle.

Scenery is stunning, however. Lightening along ridges scary, loud, and deadly. If the ridges are crossed early, there is a chance.

Rain? Sucks. But leaves a nice smell afterwards. Even a rainbow.

On the other hand, as long as I die outright from a good lightening strike, WTF? Don’t wanna live through THAT.
