My Name’s 301, a Hiker and Trail Angel
As I traveled on the Appalachian Trail in 2021, I had no idea what was in store for me.
I’m 26, from Waynesboro Virginia, and currently living in Harpers Ferry West Virginia. Both are trail towns on the Appalachian Trail, so you could say I’ve grown up around the trail and the people on it.
Growing up I never saw myself hiking the trail, or having much to do with it. When I was around 18 years old, I started to discover a love for hiking. From then on I’ve been absolutely in love with it. Day trips, weekends, or even overnights. At this point, I’ve hiked all over the country. I love it, and hiking has saved my life.
My plan for this year is to get out and hike the Florida Trail! I’ll be going NOBO starting at the beginning of January, and I can’t wait to share my adventures this year with you! I have done a bit of hiking down in Florida before, I hiked the Ocean to Lake trail in 2021. Florida has always felt like home to me, and I can’t wait to see more of the state and to see what’s in store for me.
