My Motto? Make It Memorable.

The truth is, I can’t write an introduction to this blog…because my journey on the PCT hasn’t started yet. I don’t know the purpose. But I’m eager to start and see where it takes me.

Just one simple plan.

I have always thrived on planning. One could say it’s core to my identity. GANTT charts. Set lists. Dinner parties. Financial models. Travel itineraries.

I made the decision to thru-hike the PCT just 60 days ago on 24 February 2021. Since then, I’ve tirelessly studied countless PCT-related topics…e.g. ice axe self-arresting, footwear breakdown patterns, even the nutritional benefits of Hoosier Hill Farm Real Butter Powder. My Google Drive is teeming with new folders containing (unnecessarily) detailed spreadsheets and reference materials. And what a joy it has been.

Starting this Wednesday, 28 April 2021, I will let everything else go. There is ONLY ONE PLAN. To hike to Canada.

Happy trails!

I’d love to have you along for the journey. Check back for logistics reports, fellow thru-hiker bios, and other musings.
