#DeepCreek #HotSprings. There are many geothermal pools all along this stretch. All a different temperature. The one below is wicked hot. It was very difficult to get in it, especially since the air temperature was over 100. But I did it anyways. Then took my time swimming in the luke warm creek. Fish were swimming all over. There were other day hikers there as well. Some nude. Some of their bums were burned to a lobster red/pink crisp from the sun. Yeah I looked. Anyways I enjoyed a little downtime to let the scorching heat of the day pass before moving on. This a great spot for a break. But an even better spot to camp and enjoy the cool desert air from within the hot spring while checking out the stars.

Really wishing I was out on the trail right about now. I am currently sitting in a Ford Escape driving towards California from Boulder, CO. It has been 14 hours…save me. My legs are jelly.

So hikers…if you’re reading this, gulp in the fresh air for me!

Happy hiking.
