Thoughts | One Month Out
So life has been pretty hectic. I’ve working every day to get all of my food finished and packaged up. Not to mention being present and in the moment with my family and get as much quality time as we can. So that is why I’ve been so absent on here.
The Worst Timing
Everything seems to be happening at the worst time. It seems that I can’t get shin splints to leave me alone. I am working on strengthening my calves and shins so that way I can actually just walk when I start the trail.
Beyond that, I’ve been having a pain in my lower right side for several days now. Real talk, I’m worried that it might be an ovarian cyst. I have had problems with them before. Last time they thankfully resolved by themselves. This time, though, there are some other things going on with more extensive pain that it is making me worried. My biggest fear is that it is something that I’ll need surgery to fix and that I’ll have a recovery time that’s longer than I can budget, and I may not be able to hike.
So I have officially set up my hiking YouTube channel: Adventure Bird! I officially have my first video up HERE and I will be posting every week. If you would like to follow me on my hike, barring some medical intervention, please go subscribe over on Adventure Bird.
