SHOUT OUT TO TROUT LAKE, WA!!! By far my favorite trail town so far! Located 14 miles off trail via a forest road, hitching would be near impossible, so locals have set up a volunteer shuttle service for hikers! The grocery has free WiFi/device charging, $5 camping, and lovely ladies at the counter. Ate my first salad in weeks and packed out a delicious huckleberry roll. AND the best part of all – I went searching for the park shower and got lost. Asked a woman walking her dog if she knew where it was, and she insisted I use her shower! BIG thanks to Bonnie, Tom, and adorable pupper Gus for allowing a dirty hiker girl into their beautiful home. Amazing trail magic! ✨ PCT | Day 23 | 24 miles

Pacific Crest Trail, June 27, 2018 | Day 54; 19.5 miles | 982.3 | Blessed to have only a singular mosquito bum-rush me during my AM BM, after which any portion of flesh was in critical danger. Disassembled my tent while attempting to move at two miles an hour. Rolling start out of camp only to be stopped by a ranger, my first, who in predictable fashion asked to see my permit only after the briefest of greetings. “Can you fit all your food in your bear canister?” she asked, groping my pack for a rigid and dense confirmation. I nodded enthusiastically, handing her my permit with a mouth full of Poptarts, a bag of Cheez-its prominently strapped to the outside of my pack, silently thinking if I continued to eat at double my current input, yes. Hiked mostly alone much like yesterday, I feel utterly zonked. Walking all day is the hardest easy thing I’ve ever done. There’s a certain calming quality in the gorgeous monotony. Benson Pass proved to be a breeze but Seavey Pass was seriously steep. Dusk soon arrived and I set up camp; didn’t have much to say. Annihilated a tuna taco and somewhere around the fourth bite, had an out of body epiphany: mayo is king. The delectable, savory spread makes any dry packet of tuna taste luxurious. Much like any addiction I can’t imagine life sans substance. How do people survive on ramen and instant potatoes? I don’t think I’ll ever understand the mayonnaise haters. Killed the remainder of the wine while enjoying another night safe in my tent. ⁣⁣⁣ Pacific Crest • August 24, 2018 • Day 112⁣⁣⁣ 2295.5 • White Pass • 18.8⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ //////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////⁣⁣///////⁣///⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Crazy fog/wind/frost, you name it. Not terribly cold, but one of the windiest nights. Woke up in a cloud, didn’t feel the chill til I unzipped my fly. Hit the top (again) where we found Vortex and Tumbleweed cowboying. The fog lifted for a split second, and I saw the heavens. Insane. Knife’s Edge was pretty intense. Cold, hot, cold, puffy on and off. No views, but the sense of being on the edge of a sheer cliff. Gnarly. Hit the Coyote Trail junction, the start of the Miriam Fire detour, and decided to take the Packwood Lake trail. Gorgeous forest, steep downhill, life everywhere. A river with trees growing out of it, some of the largest blow downs I’ve ever seen… epic. The lake was just as nice, an amazing turquoise. Found the ATV road back to the trailhead, and got a hitch with a couple bike riders. Got to Packwood, and headed to Mountain Goat Coffee, had brew with Tiny Slice, Col. Sanders, Roadrunner, and Autopilot. Charged up, called pa, and hitched up to the Kracker Barrel at White Pass. Cool scene. Got our resupply, saw Big Feet, Vortex, and Tumbleweed, then Sticky Fingers and Brownstreak showed up! Had cold chili outside an angel’s condo, beers, and smoked with Cray Nip and Taco. Hiked out with Tiny Slice, Brownstreak, and Sticky Fingers at 7:30p. Hit a dirt road for dinner. Hello! I'm Jenna. I probably know more about thru-hiking than I should considering I have only thru-hiked the 310-mile Superior Hiking Trail. I was fully prepare for a PCT 2019 thru-hike when health issues swooped in last minute and kept me off trail. I still enjoy reading and writing about thru-hiking and any outdoor adventures and have high hopes of stepping on the PCT one day.

    Such a beautiful place and everyone attracts towards beauty this is fact. it takes about 5 minutes to reached. the trail is 2.60 miles and it generally takes the entire snow-free season to walk.

    Grateful post for all the new individuals but there are also very fantastic services available like to have the most precious vehicles of Proton Motors Pakistan which are giving their best high-class vehicles from them very easily in Pakistan so desiring.
