Roller Coaster

Over the last few weeks I have had a roller coaster of emotions!

While looking at the posts of those already out there, I am excited and I can’t wait to join them!

At other times I feel like I am getting “cold feet” like a groom before his wedding.

Then a new piece of gear comes in and I am excited again.

Now the weather looks like snow and bitter cold temperatures for the days leading up to my starting date…. Should I stay or should I go?

I have the support of my family, especially my wife. She has been preparing meals and packing up resupply boxes and making plans for us to have a weekend together at several places along the trail.

So, after worrying about all of the “what if’s” it all comes down to how badly do I want this? Well, I want it and I am going to take the first steps toward Maine Monday morning March 14th from Springer Mountain.

The next time I post anything will be from the trail!

Happy Trails…Goonpa
