OK, this is a true story. You may believe it, or not.
I was hiking in the Pootatuck state forest (once the home of a Native American tribe) with my two dogs.
About 50 feet ahead of me was a hiker, long gray hair, waist length. Jacket? down to the ground, couldn’t see the feet.
I’m always respectful of others, I hung back to let him/her get ahead. But after repeated stops I decided to speed up
to get ahead, suddenly the person went off trail quickly.
Strangely there was little movement up/down as you would expect walking so quickly in the rough.
Moved so fast they seemed to disappear. Even stranger this was a couple days before Halloween.
I’ve seen other strange/unexplainable things in that forest.
I believe it is due to Indian spirits. I have total respect for American Indians.
